Regular Readers will have noted my praise of Amazon’s customer service earlier this week. Astonishingly, a new third-generation Kindle arrived on my doorstep within 36 hours of my posting, pre-programmed with my account information. (There is also an even newer one being marketed for US$79, albeit sans keyboard.)
To my eye, the new version exceeds either of the previous incarnations, with sharper contrast and more pleasant fonts. Needless to say, there will be no delays in my 2012 reading plan.
